Crossing The Nation - Day 1

We made it safe and sound into Wyoming today. We left CA around 5am this morning and we quit at 11pm. Whew! We are 1/3 done with our trip, having officially logged 920 miles under our belt.

Utah and WY are both very pretty. Utah was more green and hilly than we expected and WY has amazing rock formations.

Hmmm...this picture was taken in CA.  Am I mistaken or is it June?
This was the best picture I could take of Salt Lake.  The city passed us by so quickly I wasn't able to get a decent shot.
And here is our view right before going up into the Rockies.  It wasn't bad at all - our truck did great and we both were surprised that it didn't feel more steep.

Tomorrow we are headed to Mount Rushmore and then our goal is to end the night in Sioux Falls, SD. If we keep things up at this pace, we could possibly get back home by Thursday night! We are in no hurry, but if we can avoid another dy in the car, it would be awesome!
