Corn hole, Anyone?

Well looky who finally decided to get back to blogging!!! I'll tell you, as wonderful of a time I had in CA, it sure did wipe me out the two following days. But that's for another post...

Last night I went with Steph and her friend Steve to a corn hole tournament they recently joined. For those that don't know, corn hole is a game in which teams of two play against one another by throwing bean bags at their opponents sloped board with a hole in the center. The object is to get as many bean bags in the hole as possible and the team to score 21 points first is the winner. They named themselves, Team Nickels (for which I still don't know why). I had never played so it was fun to watch. In fact, I did such a good job of watching, I was deemed the nickname, "The Spectator." Doesn't that sound so official!? What's even funnier is that I was called that by another team who asked, "who's team Nickels and who's the spectator?" Wow, word got around!

Here's what a typical board looks like:

Steve is in the blue shirt...

And, of course, Steph is the girl... :)

Sadly, team Nickels only won 1 out of 3 games last night.  Thankfully they have 7 more weeks to become champions! :)
