Well, now that I know what state I'll be in for the next couple of days, I've finally made time to post photos I've taken since last Thursday!
Thursday night we went to a Mudhen's baseball game. We went with some of Matt's work friends and had a great time.
When we first got there, what did we do? Well, isn't that obvious??? Matt got a haircut! :)
It was charity night at the game and they were giving haircuts for donations. Matt needed one anyway, so why not!? :)
They had fireworks after the game. We were all tired and all but me had work the next day so we opted to view the fireworks while walking back to the car.
OMG, the experience was somewhere between surreal and scary! To make matters worse, their opening act was another cover band, but this time for Pink Floyd. They called themselves Polka Floyd. Yep, you guessed it...everything was played Polka style. Imagine listening to Pink Floyd songs via an accordion. Not good, people, not good... The RibFest overall was a bust so we walked over to a restaurant on the docks that we all liked. Here was our view:
Sunday I was supposed to go to an antique fair in a suburb of Toledo named Oregon. Alas, I did not make it. Unfortunately, when looking up directions, MapQuest told me that my route was over 2000 miles. Then I saw why. The antique fair was located in Toledo, OR! Who knew there would be a city named Toledo in Oregon. I was so bummed! :(
Steph cheered me up by taking me to a place where all problems melt away. Cake In A Cup - a yummy, and not-so-far-away shop dedicated to cupcakes. Ah, eternal bliss...
Yummmmm..........
OMG, REALLY? - Polka Floyd and Mini Kiss.
