These past few days have blown away! It was as if a huge tornado swept through our apartment and shook us. Thursday night we went to another Mudhens game. Once again, they lost. We have yet to be there and see them win. Matt and I are convinced that we are their bad luck charms.
Additionally on Thursday, Matt found out that he would be traveling to Chico for this following week. He left Friday night, to which I spent all of Friday trying to see if I could join him on his flight. Sadly, I had no luck. :(
Yesterday, I had a day of movie watching and I got to meet Steph's parents for the first time. We had lunch on her apartment porch and afterwards, Steph took them up to Ann Arbor for some exploring, shopping and eating. The perfect day!
I watched a couple of movies after lunch. I saw that our movie library had Shutter Island, so I braved it out and watched it alone. It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be, so I'm glad I saw it. I then saw a movie that was a little out of sorts for me - Species II. Not only am I not a sci-fi fan, but I haven't even seen Species I. However, I Netflixed it because a few weeks back I found out that Steph's boyfriend Eric (aka Yellow Pants) had at one time been a child actor and he's in that movie briefly. Ha! Well, of course I had to see it for myself! Predictably, the movie itself was horrible. But it was so worth to see 'ol Yellow Pants back when he was a kid. Apparently he was also in a commercial, but no one can seem to track it down. I'll find it... ;)
Today I'm having another lunch with Steph and her folks and then I'm going to an antique fair. I love antiquing so I'm hoping I may find a few things. If not, it's always fun to browse. Matt's now in Chico after having spent Saturday with my folks. They went to a picnic and hung out until he drove to Chico last night. I'm sure he's having a great time with his Mom and Hulas - his favorite Chico restaurant. ;)
