Jilll came to visit this past weekend due to a layover she had in Detroit and we sure did cram in a lot of fun into a short period of time!
We picked Jill up and headed straight to Ann Arbor, MI, where the Michigan/Michigan State was playing. I was really hoping to go to that game, but unfortunately our plans fell through and we didn't get tickets. But, on the plus side, it made things very convenient to spend extra time with Jill! We did some shopping and eating - as you all know by now, what I call - The Perfect Day! :)
Here is Jill under three favorites - shoes, lions and pink!
I HAD to show Jill our traditional Ann Arbor cupcake shop...
We had Mexican for dinner - although it appears from the picture below like we drank our dinner!!!
It was a great place to eat because we were curb side and it was so fun to see the Michigan State fans heckle the Michigan fans! :)
This photo doesn't look like much but I thought it perfectly summed up the evening - green fans sitting together on one side and the blue fans sitting on the other...
The next day we went to Cleveland and started by going to The Melt, a restaurant famous for their melty sandwiches. It was very fun and funky...
Matt got the Monte Cristo...
And I got the Banana and Sweet Cream...
We then went to the Christmas Story House so Jill could enjoy the tour, too. It doesn't matter how many times we go, I always learn something new. :)
Yet again, such good sports!
The only thing I dislike about the house is the fact that they have all the major photo opts in front of an open, sunny window. It makes for such bad photos...
At least we were able to get the deranged easter bunny shot.
When we headed over to the museum, we had a very special treat in store! We met a Christmas Story celebrity! Apparently he has lived on the same street as the Christmas Story house for 70 years (hence why he was discovered for the role) and works at the museum each day to share his stories. I can't believe we missed him all these times! He played the leg lamp delivery guy - small role, but he did have great stories!
