"Hoppy" Sunday

Well, it's official, our apartment is now a brewery. Matt got a beer brewing kit from our AP and UB for a graduation gift and of course he loves it - thanks again to you both!!! He got it right before our move, so he's been chomping at the bit to get his beer a brewin'. He started with a Golden Ale and in two weeks, we'll have our first tasting. You are all invited to join us! ;)

Later that day, we went ice skating with the two couples we met at the wine tasting event last week. I think it's safe to say that we officially have Ohio friends!



This was Matt's first time ice skating and I think he did really well. Matt is a funny guy...when he and I are trying something new, he gets pretty competitive with me. Occasionally, I would lose track of where he was on the rink and then I would find him coming up behind me. I said to the gals in our group, "Just you watch, I bet Matt is secretly trying to lap me." When Matt joined us, I told him what I had told the ladies and he replied, "I've actually lapped you twice." Do I know my husband, or what!!! :)

Afterwards we all went to dinner to a Mexican restaurant and were even serenaded by a Mariachi band.



They were pretty good! :)
