Ho Hum...Back To Reality...

Today was my first day of waking up and not being greeted by 3 cheerful ladies - two of which usually asking me to join them in their playful activities. I miss my Boston family - I really enjoyed my week long stay with them. I just read Kara's blog and apparently I'm missing out on some serious princess game playing. :( Thanks again, Kara, Mike, Abby and Lizzy for the wonderful week!

Matt left today for yet another trip. This time his assignment will last 7 weeks in Toronto, Canada. Thankfully during the 7 week stretch, the trip will be interrupted with two weeks of training, so he'll actually only be away from home for 5 weeks.  But, the trip being stretched out over 7 weeks makes it feel so long... UGH!

So, I'll be honest, my day was boring! It was filled with unpacking, laundry, light cleaning and feeling like a big ol' mope. I'm hoping that my Wednesday will be a lot more cheery. :)

Something I didn't blog about from the trip was my visit with my other cousin Mark, his wife Kara, and their two kids.  It was my first time meeting the kids and they were adorable! It was so nice catching up with them, especially since Kara was pregnant with their third child.  I'm pretty sure they had their baby today since today was their day to be induced if the baby didn't come sooner. I'm not sure if it's a boy or a girl, so I can't wait to hear. Hope all is well, Mark!

Mike working hard at the grill - he did a great job making chicken and corn! Kara slow-cooked ribs for the adults and they too were awesome!

Random cuteness of Lizzy - I love how it looks like Abby is growing out of her head! :)

Aunt Kara and Laura

All the cousins together - this reminds me of a time when Mark, Jill, Kara and myself were all seated together at a little red picnic table.

After dinner we made smores and they were wonderful!!! Here is Mark, Kara, Sophia and Laura enjoying a nice family moment. :)

Of course, I had to get into the action myself!

But not without a quick Lizzy cuddle!

Mmmmmm.....

Before they left, Sophia and Laura changed into their pjs. Isn't this a great shot of the kids?

But of course they couldn't leave without one more cuddle session!!!
