Merry Christmas!

OK, well that may seem early to you, but that was our theme for the day. Matt took the day off and we all trekked down to Cleavland to see the Christmas Story House that was used in the movie, The Christmas Story. Matt and I had been there earlier this year, but it was totally worth visiting again to see Mom and Dad's reactions. Before going to the house, we started at a restaurant named Lucky's Cafe and it was recommended by the show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives - which is a great show to see unique restaurants throughout the county. This restaurant was know for it's commitment for sustainability and it's ruben sandwiches. Apparently Dad caught this restaurant on TV prior to this visit, so he was prepared! Here is the link for anyone that wants to see it further: http://www.luckyscafe.com/eat_like_guy.htm

We all shared some of the yummiest mac and cheese we've ever had.  It came with homemade applesauce that was meant to be put on top of the mac and cheese. Matt was the bravest to try it first and he came out of the first bite with a smile so we all went for it to. Amazingly enough, it was quite good!  Mom, Matt and I had ruben sandwiches and Dad ordered a burger topped off with an egg. Everything tasted great - I'm so glad we went.

Me thinks Mom is drooling! ;)

After lunch we went to the Christmas Story house and once again got a great tour.

Of course, we all needed our silly shots, too!

Telling Mrs. Schwartz of the dreaded F (dash, dash, dash) word!

Finding out it was just a crummy commercial!

And getting an A+++++ on her theme!

After the tour, we had such great intentions of also visiting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We've heard such great things about it and thought it would be a nice addition to the day. Sadly, we didn't budget enough time so we took pictures outside instead.

Awww....
